... But Ahmed wasn't doing those things. He built a clock. Everyone, from the teachers to the police, should be fired.

.@evanwolf I'm blown away by the police response. "We have no idea why a kid would want to make a clock from scratch." Anti-knowledge.

@LinuxJedi Ha! I had no idea. I'm not working out of that office anymore, but I'll definitely be in the city a few days next week.

@LinuxJedi My office was 50 feet away for most of the last 18 months, so I got used to that. The prices, not so much.

@anastasiaashman Yes - and UCSF is one of the foremost medical centers in the world for this. The drugs still only slow the progress.

I have some idea how you feel ...

@LinuxJedi I'd never thought about it that way. Starbucks is like the Tube! Except hopefully with less biological matter.

Plenty of frameworks have cross-site scripting protection but fail to protect the "logging out" route, which can be abused in its own ways. Odd.

@erindubitably I've seen reference to them doing that but no primary sources - I'm wondering if they just gave that impression?!

@srobalino Sadly no: management there earns up to 60X the standard wage.

A national maximum wage isn't politically viable, but companies can implement fluid wage scales that allow everyone to benefit from success.

@tinokremer I agree! Another way of saying that is it comes down to design and ease of use.

@alpower I just zapped it in the microwave, which is totally not the done thing but shhhh

@alpower Toasted marshmallow and chocolate in a graham cracker (a kind of honey biscuit). My 'mallows were vegan; crackers & choc organic.

@mjwints This is exactly what happened with Odeo, who had to pivot to become Twitter. (They did okay.) Always a danger.

@timweston For PHP: phpStorm. I've had good experiences with NetBeans in the past. Haven't tried the GitHub or Facebook IDEs.
