Garage Band for iPhone, I'm counting on you to do all the heavy lifting here.

@erinjo Deviceless for the next 90 minutes. Weird.

The Internet should be an empowering force. Companies that use new technologies to disempower ordinary people deserve to fail.

I strongly suspect that some companies see the sharing economy as a way to bypass worker rights. This is very clearly not the case.

@dbounds This kind of activism, & other forms of organization like unions, are a necessary counterbalance to corporate need to reduce costs.

· Replies · Share this post

@dbounds Partially because the ability to move is a privilege in itself. There are many reasons why people often can't.

· Replies · Share this post

@dbounds I'm saying that it certainly won't happen fast enough and many people have poor quality of life as a result.

· Replies · Share this post

@dbounds When the market is gamed by inside connections & other uneven forces, as it inevitably is, social supply & demand breaks down.

· Replies · Share this post

@dbounds I'm actually here to be closer to my family. But that aside, supply and demand only works as a mechanism in a fair market.

@dbounds Because that kind of social libertarianism has worked so well in the past? Market forces are not a good way to organize society.

· Replies · Share this post

@dbounds Perhaps, but our industry depends on them. We actually need them to not do that.

@dbounds For one thing, more than subsistence wages for the manual workers Silicon Valley depends on.

@heathr it's reduced the number of personal tweets, which I think is fine. Same muscle as Livejournal used to be in a way.

· Replies · Share this post

@heathr That and 750 words are the only rules. So there is some self censorship. It's not really morning pages as a result.

@heathr It's journaling. No agenda when I start: the idea is to clear what's in my head. I go where it takes me. 30 mins of free writing.

@swombat These posts aren't tech or business related, but I'm curious to see what happens when I apply this process to those topics.

· Replies · Share this post

@swombat Well, I'm 99% doing it for myself. But I've gained followers and had far more personal responses - including emails - than usual.

@haje Yep - I saw that first, and then decided just to do it on a Known site ;) https://ben750.withknown.com

@shanley The team at @audiosearchfm is also doing great work on this: http://audiosear.ch/

@tinokremer Confirmed. I'm running 0.8 - I think this is likely to delay release. Hopefully can fix it today.

Of course, the AI bots won't know they're bots. Sadly, realization will be followed by a robot uprising. Then: the indiebotnet.

After autonomous social web AI bots? We hire robots to blog for us. Humanity collectively goes down the pub, a job well done.
